Research interests: I am interested in working on the use of advanced mathematical and machine learning algorithms to model certain aspects of vision and especially how would aging effect those aspects. In addition, I am also working on implementing interactive and user-friendly software solutions that can make use of different visual and visuo-spatial models to simulate spatial navigation experiments.

Short bio: My original background is computer engineering as I have obtained a master’s degree in this field from IGEE (ex-Inelec) on 2015. This was a 5-year integrated program that focuses on topics such as Machine Learning, Digital Signal Processing, Digital System Design, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics and Embedded Systems. I have recently obtained a master’s degree in biomedical informatics which allowed me to apply my computer related skills for medical applications.

Keywords: Computer engineering, machine learning, virtual reality, simulation, vision modeling.
